Your books, kept safe and kept honest.

Here's how Zirano protects your financial data, in plain terms. If you have a question this page doesn't answer, ask us.

Encryption

• Everything between your browser and Zirano travels over HTTPS (TLS).
• Your data is stored encrypted at rest by our database provider.

Your workspace is yours

• Every request is checked against your membership of that workspace before any data is read or written.
• People you invite get a role (owner, admin, member or viewer), and each role can only do what it allows.

Signing in

• No passwords to leak or reuse. You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email, which expires after 20 minutes.

Books that can't be quietly changed

• Zirano keeps real double-entry books. Recorded entries are never edited or deleted; a correction is a visible reversal, so there's always a trail.
• You can lock a period once it's closed, so nothing can be recorded into it by mistake.

Adam, our AI assistant

• Adam can read your books to answer questions and suggest what to record. He can't record anything himself; every suggestion waits for a person to approve it.
• When you chat with Adam, the relevant figures are sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, to produce his answer.

Bank statements

• PDF statements are read in your browser. The file itself is never uploaded. Zirano saves only the lines you choose to import, plus the statement's column layout so it can read the next one.

Your data, your call

• Download your profit and loss, balance sheet, trial balance and stock reports as CSV whenever you like.
